This premier educational experience brings together world-renowned leaders in Gymnastics Medicine to share the latest advances in injury prevention and evaluation, rehabilitation, nutrition, mental health and wellbeing, athlete development, and emerging research.
Designed for sports medicine physicians, orthopedic surgeons, physician assistants, physical therapists, athletic trainers, registered dieticians, mental healthcare providers, and other healthcare professionals, the symposium offers practical, evidence-based education focused on the unique needs of gymnasts.

Take It to the Gym! 🤸
On Monday, we’re taking Gymnastics Medicine out of the lecture hall and into the gym.
This in-person-only, hands-on educational experience will take place at Exxcel Gymnastics in Newton, Massachusetts—a real gymnastics training facility where you’ll have the opportunity to experience gymnastics medicine in the environment where athletes train, tumble, land, and compete.

Through interactive sessions, practical demonstrations, and real-world clinical applications, you’ll put the concepts from Day 1 into practice and gain hands-on experience that you can bring directly back to your athletes and clinical setting.
This isn’t just learning about gymnastics medicine—it’s experiencing it.
Connect with colleagues, learn from leaders in the field, and gain practical skills and knowledge to help elevate the care of gymnasts and aesthetic sport athletes.
Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this educational program, participants will be able to:

- Identify and understand gymnastics-specific injuries, diagnoses, and prevention strategies.
- Explain the unique fueling and nutritional needs of gymnasts.
- Recognize common mental health concerns affecting gymnasts and understand approaches to supporting athlete mental health and wellbeing.
- Demonstrate and perform gymnastics-specific physical therapy exercises and rehabilitation techniques.
- Understand the medical management and on-site evaluation requirements for providing medical coverage at gymnastics competitions.
- Explain considerations specific to the female athlete, including the signs and symptoms of Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S).
- Review surgical considerations and challenges specific to gymnastics-related injuries.

Pre-registration is required. Once you have registered you will receive a confirmation email with a registration receipt. Course access instructions will be sent a few days prior to the course launch. Course Cancellation, Transfer & Refund Policy
Online/Virtual Course Registrations: Due to the proprietary materials and content of each course, online virtual course orders are NOT eligible for refund, cancellation, or transfer. Online training courses may NOT be transferred to another Participant. Participants have 2 weeks to access any virtual online course content. Participants have until the expiration date to access and complete any enduring material courses. Boston Children’s Hospital CE is not responsible for user technical difficulties including loss of internet, power outages, etc.
In-Person Course Registrations: For in person course registrations, refunds are available on the following schedule: 100% refund up to 8 weeks before the first day of the course; 50% refund up to 2 weeks before the first day of the course; No refunds will be processed for cancellations within 2 weeks of the first day of the course
Boston Children’s offers the opportunity to change your attendance preference: Should your circumstances change after you have registered for either the ONLINE or IN-PERSON program, you have the ability to change from one attendance option to the other up until two weeks before the program begins. Please contact us via email if you would like to make a change.
“No shows” for both in person and virtual courses are subject to the full course fee and no refunds will be issued once the course has started.
Refunds will be made in the following ways: For payments received by credit or debit cards, the same credit/debit card will be refunded.

Cancellation of Services
Although highly unlikely, in case an event is canceled or postponed, Boson Children’s can provide a full refund or offer credit towards future events to those who have already registered.
Accreditation
In support of improving patient care, Boston Children’s Hospital is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
Physician
Boston Children’s Hospital designates this live activity for a maximum of 14 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ™. Physicians should claim only credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in this activity.
Physician Assistants
Boston Children’s Hospital has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credits for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 14 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.

Dietitians completing this course receive 14 ACE CE continuing education credits.

Athletic Trainers
Boston Children’s Hospital (BOC AP# P10089) is approved by the Board of Certification, Inc. to provide continuing education to Athletic Trainers. This program is eligible for a maximum of 14 EBP Category hours/CEUs. ATs should claim only those hours actually spent in the educational program.
